Pointers for IT205 November 2009 Final Exam

The final exam paper will consist of 2 sections - Section A containing all objective questions and Section B with essay questions.

Topics that will be tested (based on the textbook Data Communications and Networking 4th Edition by Behrouz A. Forouzan) are those covered in chapters 1, 9, 12-16, 19, 22 and 32.

Suggested topics to focus on for revision:
Section A
- no areas you can actually focus on, so cover all the necessary chapters

Section B
- to focus on Sections 1.2, 9.1, 9.2, 12.1, 12.3, 13.2, 14.2, 15.1, 16.2, 19.1

Please be reminded that the areas listed above are merely focus areas, and NOT the only areas you will be tested on. Students are frequently advised to read widely.
