The IT204 Programming with Visual Basic classes will be divided into 2 separate groups.

Please attend the classes according to your respective groups.

Group 1 - for intakes before May 08.
Group 2 - for intakes from May 08 onwards.

CourseWork Marks for May 2009 Exam

Here are your Coursework Marks for the following subjects:

• IT102/CS1201
• IT109
• IT205

Several things to note:
For IT102/CS1201:

1. The green column is your final Coursework Marks. The (/50) simply means that your Coursework accounts for 50% of your subject grade total.
2. To pass your Coursework component, you need to have 17.5 marks or higher in the CW column (shaded green).
3. The marks here are unofficial. Official marks/grades are only released by the Exam Unit.

For IT109 and IT205:

1. The green column is your final Coursework Marks. The (/40) simply means that your Coursework accounts for 40% of your subject grade total.
2. To pass your Coursework component, you need to have 14 marks or higher in the CW column (shaded green).
3. The marks here are unofficial. Official marks/grades are only released by the Exam Unit.

*Edited (24 Apr 2009) - Coursework marks revised for all CS1201 students. I made a mistake in the formula to calculate your Test2 marks. Everything should be in order now.

Pointers for IT205 May 2009 Final Exam

The final exam paper will consist of 2 sections - Section A containing all objective questions and Section B with essay questions.

Topics to focus on for revision (based on the textbook Data Communications and Networking 4th Edition by Behrouz A. Forouzan):

Section A
- to focus on Chapters 1, 9, 12-16, 19, 22 and 32.

Section B
- to focus on Sections 1.2, 9.1, 12.1, 12.3, 13.3, 15.1, 16.1, 16.2, 19.1, 19.2

Pointers for IT206 May 2009 Final Exam

The final exam paper will consist of 2 sections - Section A containing all objective questions and Section B with essay questions.

Topics to focus on for revision (based on the textbook Operating Systems: Internals and Design Principles 5th Edition by William Stallings):

Section A
- to focus on Chapters 1 - 3, 6-9, 11, 16.

Section B
- to focus on Sections 1.1, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 9.2, 11.2, 16.1, 16.3

Chinese New Year Break

There will be no IT classes from 26 - 31 January 2009 due to the Chinese New Year celebrations. Classes will resume on 2 February 2009 (Monday).
